The deal

The Trash Kid · terms of service · last updated August 2026

What we do

We take your trash cans to the curb before pickup and bring them back the same day they're emptied, every week you're signed up. Extra services — yard work, can cleaning, odd jobs — are agreed on individually before any work happens or money is owed.

Payment

  • Weekly service is billed weekly — $10/week on autopay, $15/week otherwise. Prices are always shown before you sign up, and you'll be told before any price changes.
  • Autopay charges your card each service week through Stripe. Pay-as-you-go balances are due within a week of service, by card, Venmo, Zelle, or cash.
  • Extra work is billed at the price we agreed on — never a surprise number.

No contract — really

Cancel any time, effective immediately, no fees. You can also skip any week from your account page — a skipped week is never billed. If you cancel with a balance outstanding, you still owe for work already done; if you've prepaid for a week we don't serve, we'll refund it.

If something goes wrong

If we miss a week, that week is free — tell us and we'll fix it. If we damage a can or your property, tell us and we'll make it right. That said, this is a neighborhood can-moving service, not an insurance company: our responsibility is capped at what you've paid us in the past month, and we're not responsible for things outside our control (what the trash company does, weather, a can's pre-existing condition).

Your part

  • Keep your address, phone, and access notes accurate so we can actually do the job.
  • Tell us about hazards — an aggressive dog, a broken gate, ice on the driveway.
  • Cans should be reachable and in roughly the spot you told us about.

Changes

If these terms change in any way that matters, you'll be notified before the change applies — and since there's no contract, you can always just cancel.
