The Trash Kid · last updated August 2026
The short version
We collect only what we need to take care of your trash cans and bill you for it. We don't sell your information, we don't run ads, and we don't use tracking or analytics of any kind. When you ask us to delete your information, we delete all of it.
What we collect
- Your name, phone number, and address — so we know whose cans to move and where they live, and can text you about your service.
- Email — optional, only if you give it.
- Notes you add — gate codes, dog names, where the cans live. Only what you choose to tell us.
- Service and payment history — what you're signed up for, what's been done, what's been billed and paid.
Card numbers never touch our servers. Online payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a payment processor used by millions of businesses; we only learn that a payment succeeded. Venmo, Zelle, and cash payments happen directly between you and us.
How it's protected
Your phone number, email, and address are encrypted in our database (AES-256), so even a stolen copy of it would not reveal where anyone lives. Sign-in links are private, single-purpose, and expire. Access to customer information is limited to the people who actually do the work — and helpers who run stops see only the address and task for that stop, never your phone number or payment details.
Who we share it with
Nobody, except the services that make the app work: Stripe (payments), our hosting provider (where the encrypted database lives), and — when texting is enabled — Twilio (which delivers the texts). None of them are permitted to use your information for anything else. We never sell or trade your information, and we don't share it with advertisers, brokers, or neighbors.
Cookies
We use one kind of cookie: the one that keeps you signed in to your own account page. No tracking cookies, no third-party cookies, no analytics.
Deleting your information
Ask any time — text or message the owner, or leave a note from your account page — and we'll permanently delete your account and everything in it: contact details, address, service history, payment records, and messages. This isn't a deactivation; the data is actually removed.
Questions
This service is run by a real person in your neighborhood. If anything here is unclear, ask — the owner will give you a straight answer.
